That's a fair question. What I expect TSRI to have going for it after 2000 is a LOT of cash. The company could then pay a special dividend to shareholders. I agree that after 2000, business will substantially decline. But between now and then, the potential for profit making is truly awesome.

TSRI originally charged 25 cents/line of COBOL code remediated, subsequently this has been raised. By next year and early 2000, the charge should be quite high. ($1/line?... $2/line?... more?) Companies and organizations that need their code fixed in a hurry will pay almost price. It's impossible to calculate what kind of profits TSRI will ultimately make on the Y2K business.
