I agree with you completely. However, we tend to overstate the rate of change in the short-term, and understate that change in the long-term. If you accept that premise, the future of investing in box makers is much more interesting. What will "computing life" be like ten years from today? I don't know, but I'm fairly confident "snazzy new applications" will, by then, be commonplace.
