Dave: (OT for thread)
Sorry for the delay in responding - been skiing, not trading, for the past few days. Now I've got some catching up to do.
Although I've read a some negative posts on Dial Data, I do use them and haven't had much trouble with the data. ( Would like to learn what people don't like about Dial Data, but am too complacent to go out of my way to do so, I guess.) Once in a while there is an obviously errant figure, but that is easily corrected IMO. I have a watch list that generally has between 300 and 500 stocks at any time. Download cost is negligible: about $16 for end of day stock quotes, open int. and fundies; about $25 if you also want index info. I started with WOW because of the ability to screen both on TA and FA, and Dial Data provided the fundamental info. MS is a good TA program, but lacks FA ability. If it's not important to you, then check it out too (though more expensive than WOW). I like WOW, can easily write my own indicators and screens, etc., and it reads MS formulas so ideas in TAS&C articles can be tried out.
I've thought about trying Real Tick III - can you recommend it? What should I know about it plus and minus. Are you happy with PC Quote's internet feed? Is it fast enough? I believe AB Watley uses Real Tick III - I've been looking for something like that, (CyberTrader is another system, but needs ISDN, I believe). TIA for any thoughts you can share.
