Since you are in this shorter's forum you really need to know that a fully verified head and shoulders top is at least 85% predictable of a major downturn. The trick is to know when one is forming and when it is confirmed. The danger in shorting on fundamentals is trying to pick the top and missing - by a lot. 2 years ago QDEK was about 40 and that was the top but the formation was not complete and confirmed until it was a good bit lower than that (mid-high 20's if my memory serves me). A trade in the 30's would have seen a few bad days. A short at 40 would have been on luck alone. The trade in the mid 20's was almost a sure bet. So, do you want the biggest ride in one issue or the surest bet?

No joke, these tops are overwhelmingly in favor of carrying out a major reversal. Same can be said for the bottom variety as well (and one of Wexler's picks looks to actually have made a bottom H&S).
