I too watch it all day. My office consist of 2 p.c.'s and a small 12 inch boob tube locked on to CNBC. With Cube I see shades of SEG, APM, and especially SGI, three of which stole my 1997 profits in a few short weeks. Just like Cube, the bad news wasn't there, then wham, from expected strong earnings to the reality that recovery was 12 - 18 months out. I held them at the bottom for awhile, then realized it was dead money. Too many possible upsides to sit on dead money. Took my lumps, keep a small position in SGI and SEG but put the rest back to work. Good decision. Cube is taking on the same face. I don't understand it, didn't with SGI either, but the street was talking to my deaf ears. Actually I'm very cash heavy now, awaiting more qtr1 disasters. It's looking like time to add Cube to my cash position. Cube not following market rebounds and dropping on market dips is about as obvious as it gets! Larry |
