JAAAAAANNNNNNNN, Glad that this conversation between Preston and I is blowing your skirt up, but could you please jump in here and put in your two cents!!!!!!!!!!

Wiz, you sound like you really know what you're talking about, so it's starting to really bug me. I understand that the actual P&F charting system works independent of time, but some of the STRATAGIES that Tom mentions in his book are specifically about time. One example is to sell a stock that isn't moving if you have owned it for 3 months. Another is what you and I have been taking about, that he suggests trying to buy a stock that has given an RS Buy signal within the last 6-12 months because that signal usually lasts around 2-2.5 years. This tells me that time is definitely a factor in Tom's thinking. How much of a factor? Who knows?

Anyway, working off that same assumption, it still seems to me that a very old RS Sell signal could/should be ignored if RS is in a column of X's and everything else looks good.
