The report also says that HP is well-positioned to take over the No. 1 position in the combined UNIX(R) system and NT workstation market from Sun Microsystems Inc. [Nasdaq:SUNW - news] this quarter. The only problem I have with this 'news' is that I have never been aware that SUNW was competing in the "combined UNIX(R) system and NT workstation market". I bet GM is also beating them in the "combined UNIX(R) system and Sports Utility Vehicle market" too. Woof.. just think if GM puts out a report tomorrow the stock will drop another 5 points. Feh. cAPSLOCK (BTW did anyone also notice that the news release didn't say they HAD taken the "No. 1 position in the combined UNIX(R) system and NT workstation market" but that they were "well-positioned to take over the No. 1 position in the blah blah blabbity blah blah blah")
