Thanks Squetch; hype, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, but McKusick is right (how couldn't he with such credentials and labels!) that is going to take time for the potential of gene therapy to play out. The June 97 Scientific American series considers solutions to most of his concerns, but as they say around here "show me the pivotals."

Speaking of new picks and stocks that could do better than you know what, what's the story with Pharmacyclics (PCYC)?
