Fulvio, it's good to see you making an effort to be civil to those who disagree with your point of view. You posted the following as "proof" that Mr. Asensio was convicted of fraud:
ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that Plaintiff, NORMAN E. MURPHY, recover from Defendant, MANUEL P. ASENCIO, the sum of Forty Eight Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($48,250.00) in compensatory damages and the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) in punative damages for FRAUD and DECEIT, the total judgement being fo the sum of Two Hundred Forty Eight Thousand Two Hundred Fifty ($248,250.00), that shall bear interest at the rate of twelve percent (12%) a year, for which let execution issue.
You are convinced that the Manuel P. Asencio referred to above and Manuel P. Asensio are one and the same person. You are also convinced that the judgment referred to above is for real. I'm still doing DD on this play, so here's some questions:
- Where did you get this? - How do you know for sure that this is for real? - Who is Norman E. Murphy? - What did Mr. Asencio do to him to warrant the damages awarded? - How could Mr. Asencio and Mr. Asensio be the same person with two different spellings? - Do you know how many Asensios and Asencios there are in the world?
I did an Alta Vista search for Asencio and found ten people with that last name in the summary list I got. Maybe Asencio is a common Spanish surname (any Spanish-speaking posters out there who could comment?).
As you can tell, I'm skeptical as usual. I won't apologize for it. My skepticism has saved me some bucks over the years. |
