Gary: I also heard the caller in question. To be sure, Brinker
did give her a rather severe dressing down. Understatedly, it
is more than likely she will never call the MoneyTalk program
again. That being said, after years of listening to Brinker it
becomes self-evident that a) Brinker is aware of the tremendous
responsibility he bears toward his vast radio audience b) Brinker
chooses his words with extreme care and rarely says anything
truly superfluous and c) Brinker- as a financial expert, as a
great teacher, and as a ponderously wise human being- is
genuinely interested in the financial well-being and self-
fulfillment of his radio audience brethren.

The woman in question was as misguided and clueless a caller as
we have heard in very many moons. So befuddled and illogical was
she that I found myself feeling some twinge of pity for her. How-
ever, it is certain that Brinker immediately recognized that she
defined a representative species of beings who have no business
in the stock market and are exemplary candidates for shark bait.
As such and in his role to serve the greater good, Brinker was
necessarily quick to disabuse her of her errancies and absurdities.
Perhaps, in the end, she will plod her own foolish course, but his
points may not be lost on others like her. Brinker's greater mission
will have thus been served.
