Linda, I respectfully disagree,

There are many, many law firms that make it a practice of taking actions such as this - their intent is to get the company to settle in order to avoid the cost of defending themselves & the concurrent loss of focus, etc. I obviously didn't receive a set of the documents but I wouldn't be surprised if, out of any settlement, the lawyers first deduct their expenses (& maybe fees as well) and then split the remainder.

Often this is just dirty business, played by people with "Clintonesque" ethics - i.e. - they don't look at a situation in terms of what is right, but rather, what can they get away with.

Ah well, it will be interesting.
