Ron, I saw the SK news on CNBC last night and considered firing up the old PC for it. Glad to see others are interested. I knew the vote was the 9th, but it was getting a little tiresome for me. LLE's offer was better, but SK was fighting tooth and nail against it, using delaying tactics and the poison pill defense. LLE wasn't able to get the legal system to defeat the poison pill in the past and so it seemed a little pointless to try again except it never hurts to ask. When the judge in his wisdom decided to hear the case AFTER the vote, not before, it seemed he had his mind made up anyway. Despite having everything in its favor, SK still lost the vote by a hair. LLE also lost and by a country mile, since the winner must get a 2/3 vote and the vote was 60% in favor of Philip. Attention is now on the hearing slated for the 12th. I don't know anything about such legal fights, but obviously what needs to be done is for the judge to force SK to level the playing field and give LLE a decent chance to present its case to the shareholders by doing away with the poison pill defense.
