X-Ray Man,

IBM can afford to try and error due to its huge various sources,
Sun is probably for its Java. Apple even is still considering its
position on sub-$1000 machines, let alone low margin NC. If Apple
sells NC just because it wants to sells Rhapsody/servers, then
that would be too far away from the powerful of Rhapsody. When
enterprise buys servers with Rhapsody/Oracle, the biggest pie will
be in the application used to manipulate Oracle's database.
Again, Rhapsody/G3 or G4 should be aggressively marketing into
Federal Government, Schools, as well as Publishing companies via
quickly porting those existing software into Rhapsody. With its
pre-emptive memory, multi-thread capability, along with its
strength in network characteristics, Rhapsody should be able to take
some share from Sun/Solaris and NT.

Just my thought.
