I guess the reason I keep saying the same thing is that I want some one to tell me how DELL will continue to beat EPS numbers. 2 Firms cut EPS numbers yesterday. That is the first time that has happened in a while. I think I understand why they cut their numbers. Can some one explain how or why DELL will not have to contend with CPQ's pricing enviroment. Dell Keeps saying that Demand is Fine. CPQ never refered to a demand problem. DELL has not said that ASP's are steady throught the quarter so far. That is what I want to hear. We know DELL has the best model. We know DELL is best positioned to take advantage of Component price drops. Can some one tell me why DELL's ASP's will not fall when they are advertising a, well configured, top of the line, P II-333 w/monitor for $100-$300 less than their ASP in Q4. (they have one @ $2,299 and one @ $2,499. Reports highlight that CPQ's inventory is older stuff, But fail to mention that CPQ said the pricing preasures across all lines, Desk tops, notebooks, and SERVERS too. I don't mean to be a broken record, But just saying DELL is better than CPQ is not the answer I am looking for. That wont keep the stock at the highest valuation in the group. Jim
