I would not be able to post Bear Sterns research report here since it involves copy right issue. However, I may give you my opinions on this report: Indirect boxmakers will NEVER be able to catch up with DELL's efficiency. The most indirect boxmakers can do is to narrow the gap to 3 - 4 weeks inventory vs Dell's 7 days. Dell has more room to grow with only 7% market shares worldwide and with internet rapid expansion. Most importantly, how does Dell cope with Compaq's fire sale on its inventory? Dell existed last quarter with 80% of its product lines in PII systems while most of Compaq's inventory is in older Classic P and MMX models. Overall impression? Buy on weakness.
