Great post Jack. It was hard for me to keep up with all the info that was being presented! In short, I was impressed with IO's management in preparing for future demand, lowering manuf. costs (with the help of this "Dream Team"), staying ahead of the game with a strong R&D dept, and staying focused on attaining strong worldwide market presence, etc.

After listening to the call for an hour (I wonder how long the total tape was), here are just a couple more points that I wanted to add:

* KE emphasized their determination in strengthening their European sales but admitted that it would take about 12 months to get to the level that they want (what level is that?). However, IO has taken some actions toward that goal by moving their distribution vendor from Germany to the Netherlands where IO's products will be closer to their customer base.

* In addition to the latest news of hiring the ex-HP pro, KE stated that IO has hired 100 employees for R&D in 1996. Sounds good to me!

* Tim Hill's marketing department will be focusing on a strong ad campaign this quarter and in the coming quarters. KE mentioned that because the summer months were expected to be soft, he saw no need in wasting marketing time to people who were out on vacation.

Considering that Q3 was soft for the computer market in general, I think what Iomega has accomplished is nothing short of outstanding! My hat's off to IO! I think that the plans for the future were well thought out by management and the steps they have taken so far in reaching that end is commendable. I know IO will succeed!

Good luck to all tomorrow! I now need to buy all the shares I can afford!
