Yes, the momentum continues... "Dell's momentum is continuing in all product areas, all geographic regions, and all customer segments despite the Compaq announcement." This is my take: CPQ stuffed their channel last Q and did not cut their price in time in Jan. to clear up its inventory. They figured out they would be missing their estimate at this moment. So they decided they have nothing to lose. It's an opportunity for them to flash out their old inventory and at the same time turn around to blame on market slow down. (Maybe they think they are THE market.) It's CPQ slow down, not the market.
