I'm reading about plans by companies to fix Y2K through software upgrades.

I keep seeing this crop up all the time, and it may be a part of why the Y2K sector is languishing these days. No, it won't fix everyone's problem, but it will solve for a lot of small to medium sized companies...and you would be suprised by the percentage of GDP these make up. Ever since Reagan, there's been a small company explosion in the US as mega-companies downsized. All those displaced mid-managers went someplace...
