I ... TOTALLY ... agree with you. Particularly Intel. Besides PC's, there's gonna be a LOT of manufacturing & process control embedded systems requiring new chips.

Actually they DO already exist. Almost ALL Pentiums are Y2K compliant.

Problem's been some manufacturers, instead of using Y2K compliant RTC's (which have been around since 1992 - but cost $.60 more), had still been using non-compliant RTC's.
