Did anyone catch the press release out of Germany. Summit awarded $800,000.00 from Schwind Co. for patent infrigment. Oh I also forgot they also won a patent infrigment suit against some company who wants in to the eye laser business very badly.....Ah ....what were there name again....hummm I know it if I heard it, Oh yea CHIRON was ordered to pay an undisclosed sum to beam for patent infringment suit, Maybe it would be cheaper for Chiron just to buy BEAM than to pay the Damages. We will see, they would also pick up 44% of Pillar Point as a bonus. PS Someone in Beam tell me they have about $70 million in cash, that would make for a nice juciy buy out tarket or for a great merger with VISX.
