From CBS Marketplace: < Excite sees light Web publisher Excite Inc. (XCIT) is expecting revenues could hit $100 million this year and that this may move the company close to profitability after four years of losses. Excite president George Bell said his news and entertainment search and directory site now has four million registered users, he told Bloomberg news. Bell said the number of advertisers has moved from fewer than 100 a year ago to 600 currently. The value of advertising contracts in place is so large the company could break even in the third quarter, the report described Bell saying.>
