George, on another note, do you believe Schumpeter's theories of creative destruction can work in an information economy? We have a dichotamous economy, one half the past industrial economy, that is shrinking at over 1% of GDP per year. And the other half is the infomation/service economy which is expanding rapidly. In an old industrial economy,if I sold something,I no longer possessed it. And if it were replaced,it was no longer useful. In an information economy, what I sell you, I still possess. And I also know that you have obtained it. There is no longer a creative destruction paradigm, more like a creative transfer paradigm. What differentiates us from animals is our neural network, and our ability to know not only our past, but the history of others. What connects that network,is synapses, very similar to fiber optic connections(part chemical). So are we not creating a whole new set of criteria,to not only base ourselves, but our environment on?
