You got in before me. I was playing splits and bought Dell for its split last June and then, after researching the company, could not stand to sell.
No longer play splits much. I got "stuck" in compaq that way too and now Lucent. If one plays splits one has to be willing to let go of the company after the split!!!!!

I know what you mean about loving the company but still searching the fundamentals. But sometimes its worth holding on very very very long term. I'm still sorry I sold my coca cola which I heard over and over had too high a p.e.,
If the investors say a p/e is right, its right.
By the way, Yahoo shows Dell as now having a P/e of 20 because of the split, that's not right, is it?
