William! Glad you're back. I've missed your posts. I sold my position today, established at 110 a few weeks back. The end of the day looked awful. Time to short? I wasn't trying to tell anybody to sell, only to be expecting some volatility. I think we'll see a lot next week. I don't recommend shorting, since its risky. If you want, wait until Monday. If the market stays up, buy a cheap put (not necessarily on Dell, since Dell options are very expensive, even with little life left in them.) Your profit potential with these puts is great, and your risk is strictly limited by your investment. However, if you bet wrong, expect to lose your entire investment. But if you buy cheap, a mere $250 plus commission can buy you 10 contracts.
I'm not really back, I'm just going to bop in, now and then.
For those of you interested in the legality (or lack thereof) of analysts having a closed conference call with company executives, such as Brown and Dell had yesterday, this is an informative article.
