I think the split was originally planned in anticipation of a big run-up prior to Xmas quarter report. Instead IOM started trending down even though a blowout quarter was anticipated. Suprise , Suprise it disappointed, some folks must have been in the know. After earnings it flopped also due to concerns over Nomai disks, LS120 Sparq drive, possible Sony or Fujitsu entry into area.
