Discreet lost quite a bit of ground today (Mar. 10th), likely due in part to the dilutive effect, however this has driven down the value to MGI shareholders to about $3.62 US or around CDN$5.00 - 5.10. At today's closing of MGI at $4.95 CDN, is there a buying opportunity? I guess it depends on how much lower Discreet drops. The interesting thing is that they have an option to acquire up to 20% of the oustanding shares ... makes one wonder if they weren't buying today on the open market as well.

The other point I caught in the release was that the deal is not expected to close until early 1999.
