Ahmed- Great to see a post from someone who took the time to listen to the conference call.

I was in pretty much of a hurry when I threw my last post together and just wanted to get some of the highlights in from my notes. Thanks for adding the extra details.

Since I have mainly tried to talk about IO's busniness plan in most of my posts, I would also add that KE said, "Even with all we have done in meeting the challenges of 3Q, the development of a STRONG CORPORATE FOUNDATION remains as the basis of our overall plan." (not exact but close enough for quotes)

I think the point is that these guys are building for the long term. Whatever success my come in the near term is just extra gravy.

If we are looking for something to judge near term performance of the plan on, we should take a look at what he mentioned a couple of times as being their number 1 priority - GETTING ZIPS IN BOXES

I don't think he would have made this a goal and tossed out the remark about the "fun and excitement" at Comdex if he didn't already have something put together, or at least nearly so.

An additional note - I was struck both by the comments and tone of voice of the analysts when they prefaced their questions with phrases of congratulations. I got the feeling that several of them were truly impressed with what they saw and heard.

How's the street going to react to this tomorrow - don't know, but I'm very happy to be long at this point.

I expect that the short's will do a lot of pointing to the massive 0.6% drop in margins and never get around to identifying the impact and importance of the miracle at Penang. No matter. They probably won't pay any attention to the DREAM TEAM coup either.

Final note - great comments about the competition, "not shipping in any quantities"
Any shorts want to explain that it really doesn't matter about not having product in stores going into November?

Man, can you imagine what they would be saying about IO if it were in that position. Wouldn't matter to me though, because if IO were in that position, I certainly wouldn't be invested in it. I'd be looking for the company with the products, price points, shelfspace, management, and business plan that was leading the pack.
