Ramsey, ticket on the way--I just love going sleepy-bye tonight with my ANDW shares in 'trading halted' status. Just listened to their conference call and it sounds like you're going to have to make your next trip to Latin America. The ANDW management team is a straight shooting bunch of mid-Westerners who tell it like it is and it ain't pretty. They were hit worse with wireless telecom infrastructure spending slowdown in Latin America than in SEA although the combo was pretty nifty. Somehow, they continue to maintain that sales and earnings will be up year over year ('98 v. '97) but ain't nobody listening even though these guys ALWAYS tell the truth. It's actually pretty funny since they sound like the Illinois version of the Mighty Q management in front of the security analysts: "yep" , "nope", "can't say", etc. Spin artists they are not. And I thought I was so clever in reducing my portfolio beta by including the ACE Hardware of the telecom group! :( Surfer Mike
