Hi Steve - Here are some of my thoughts....

You might want to add the following to your "cc" list. I would also submit that
as an investor looking to increase shareholders value, we should have the board
look at all acquisition offers, specifically Lucent. I would be in favor of a 2 to 1
or 3 to 1 stock merger with LUCENT. We will be able to diversify our growth
across many different technologies AND obtain an active management team
to provide shareholders future growth NOW!

I believe our board would listen to their shareholders with the support of the
individuals/companies below.

NOORDA RAYMOND J 28,364 shares 8.06%

ALAN C ASHTON 20,437 shares 5.80%

BASTIAN BRUCE W 12,645 shares 3.59%

AMERICAN EXPRESS
FINL 17,569,911 shares 4.78%

WISCONSIN
INVESTMENT BOARD 8,295,700 shares 2.26%

OHIO STATE TEACH
RET SYS 6,298,574 shares 1.71%

=====================================================================

The way I figure it that represent about 28% of the outstanding shares. With SI investors it might be as much as 29%. Perhaps some input from Mr. Noorada would be helpful. He lives down the street from me. I will see if I can get a mailing address or perhaps an e-mail address.
