The open interest on Mar 35 put was 300+. Today's volume indicates that mostly they are being opened as new ones. Two possibilities: 1. Somebody thinks this stock is going to tank before Mar 21st and has bought a truck load of the puts. 2. Somebody thinks this stock will never see 35 before Mar 21st, so he has sold a truck load of puts. The option volume on the Mar 40 may also indicate that someone could have established a bull spread in which he goes long on the Mar 35 puts and short on Mar 40 puts. I saw a typical move back in Dec. in the option puts before earnings. We know the stock opened gap up on earnings news. May the same person is trying to repeat the history! Prakash
