anybody know when's earnings? ;-)
Hey David, it occured to me that my SI "first birthday" was just a few days ago. I sometimes whine tongue-in-cheek about spending too much time on SI, and not having a life—but I couldn't help noticing that my life would be very much poorer without this voracious time-sponge.
I accidentally reminded myself of how much I "thought" I knew about the market a year ago in comparison to how much I know now. The comparison was quite surprising. And now I'm humbled in anticipation of how much I'll learn in the coming year. (Extra bonus being that profitability should increase)
But SI goes beyond even that. It comes down to basic dealing with people. As you know, internet communication leaves a lot out of the person-to-person kind, so one has to be more careful. I think back to some of my very first posts and cringe (observing improvement over time). So a lot of personal growth has come in that aspect, too. I may cringe next year, looking back at this one (hopefully less so).
All said and done, SI participation has much to offer in many areas. So whilst I may not have much of a life as an SI addict, glued to my square-headed girlfriend every night—as an SI addict, I can say I'm all the better for it in a mere 369 days.
