D'More,
The new facility outside Dublin seems large enough to handle current and all future production since it also can be expanded an additional 10, 000 sq ft. A building of 42,000 sq ft ( 200 X 210 ) the size of two Safeway Supermarkets is very impressive indeed. Remember the Sandyford location is a mere 10,000 sq ft. Since the Irish govt has such generous tax advantages, I would think Trinity will continue to take these lucrative benefits in mind when planning any future growth. $ 2 million Grant is nothing to sneeze at ! Can anyone possibly compete on price with the wage scales and tax benefits afforded an Irish company ? I doubt it very much . Remember, these are cash subsidies paid by the Irish govt for each new hire based on previously agreed employment targets. I have heard these subsidies are as much as $ 20,000 per year per new hire.
In addition, the Clark plant in Jamestown, NY, has a fair amount of acreage adjoining that plant which also would be ideally located for future growth or may be utilized as a distribution point with it's close proximity to an Airfield. Also, keep in mind , the Boys of Dublin are always on the prowl, scouring the country-side looking for small Biotechs that would be accretive to our bottom line! Jamestown, would lend itself very nicely to this scenario with more room for expansion in the future.
