As we wait for the Big Kahuna its sad to think what could happen one day when this market does fall. In the twenties customers made runs on banks because they feared the loss of their savings. Now, with most of the countries retirement savings going into the market through 401Ks I can see the same thing happening with mutual fund companies. The only problem is that these deposits will not be insured against stock losses (I don't think bank deposits were insured then, but I would guess most folks got their money eventually) and the money will just be gone. WS
