2.95 is not # of patients or % patients.

It is the average response on a 1-5 scale.

1=Never, 5=Always
This would make 2=sometimes 3=about 50% chance of success 4=often

Now placebo will bring the average up to 2 and 28% noting improvement.

The result is roughly:
25% didn't need any drug, just placebo.
50% were helped by the drug, higher dose giving higher response.
25% no response at any dosage.

I think agrees with what has been discussed on this thread earlier.
