CBUK reports 3Q98 earnings tomorrow. Not sure if they will report after the bell or mid-Day. The conference call is 4:45 PM EST. There is no replay. Supposedly, you can call CBUK investor's relation and they will send out a tape in the mail.

I've never understood why this company is so hostile to individual investors. They were certainly very friendly last year when they were trading at $10/share. I really like this little company and the way it handles its sales, marketing, and finances. However, the way it handles its shareholders leaves a lot to be desired. Unless you own 5% of the float I guess you don't have the right to listen to the people who run your company on the phone. Its very sad.

So far, things have gone great for CBUK and its investors. However, some day something will go wrong, always does. The hostility of CBUK to us individuals pretty much only lets me conclude that when something does go wrong, we will be the last to know. I'm sure the institutional investor will be long gone from its CBUK (just one of a hundred stocks they buy and sell constantly) and the long term individual investor will be left wondering what happened. Then we will get a press release 3 days later explaining what just happened.

Why am I ranting? First, I think it is wrong not to have a toll-free replay. Put a transcript on the CBUK web site for all I care. Is that so difficult and expensive? More importantly, I now feel there is added risk to me holding shares of CBUK. The risk that I mentioned above. The risk that I'm not on the same informational playing field with with the majority of investors in CBUK. I've always felt CBUK was undervalued, but its done a lot to correct that perception lately :) However, if the stock ever starts to look pricey I would probably have to take some off the table at least. I'm just not comfortable being a long term owner in a company that doesn't seem to care about letting me know what's going on.
