Rillinois, your apology for taking such a long time to respond is accepted. I am not surprised, however, that it took you a long time to respond to me. It must have taken such a long time to come up with that far fetched argument. I know you spent a long time debating whether to argue that you did not say that Brinker was a "liar", you said that he had "lied." Why I bet that line of reasoning is what finally brought you to the dictionary in the first place. But you realized that was a losing argument. But look at what you discovered to your surprise. A secondary meaning to the verb "lie." But you did not know that meaning existed before you went to the dictionary. Nope. I guess that is why that meaning is a far off second or beyond depending upon the dictionary: nobody uses it or means it that way except for you with your dictionary. And meaning is what counts. If you really thought that far off meaning was what is meant by everyone when they think of the word "lie" you would have realized it in a heartbeat, posted immediately and never had to resort to a dictionary. What is important now is that we all know now you think he is a "liar" in the traditional sense and that he is a "spin doctor." You have made that clear although I am surprised that you would make such personal attacks against Brinker. I thought you were above that when you said to I2: "But, please, don't start with your personal attacks again, it only discredits your own credibility."
But let me be the first to say that we should all commend Rillinois for investing so much time will the only honorable intention, I am sure, of helping us all see the light on Brinker.
Check out this major effort. I have been told by my friends on AOL that exact duplications of his postings thus far on this thread had appeared on the UTEK AOL board, even though the New Asia and Komag matters have nothing to do with UTEK. In fact, I am told that Rillinois is such a dedicated servant to the individual investor that he has posted on the UTEK board some 40 to 50 times in the past few months mostly criticizing UTEK as an investment and Brinker as an advisor just to make sure everyone got it. Now that is dedication considering that he does not own, according to him, any UTEK shares and I can't believe he is not just some short seller of UTEK. He is looking out for us. He cares and does not want us to become a victim. But just to make sure everyone saw his point of view, he took part of his show concerning KMAG to the AOL KMAG board just to make sure those people saw his analysis even though Brinker has no recommendation on that stock today or at anytime in the recent past. And if you missed all these posts on the AOL UTEK and KMAG threads, you could have viewed all of them on the AOL Brinker board yet another time where he diligently sought to share his insights on Brinker's alleged shortcomings with Brinker himself. He is said to have wanted to "confront" Brinker with the facts and was visibly frustrated with the fact that Brinker would not respond to him. But just in case you missed those posts on the AOL Brinker board and the other boards, Rillinois took it beyond the call of duty and posted every single post again on the Yahoo UTEK stock board to make sure his message got the most mileage:

Thankfully, he did not forget about us here on SI. While I gather he is not a subscriber to MarketTimer and is not willing to shell out the $185, he is willing to pay SI the $125 lifetime membership presumably just so he could give us the benefit of his wisdom. Why right after his visitor membership was activated on March 3rd, he ran right over here on the same day to let us all know about Brinker. On top of it all, he has not let himself become distracted either. He could have run over to the Index Fund Thread on SI to share his insights and interests there, but nope he chose to instead share his wisdom with us. Good thing too. The index thread has been dead since November, 1997. So far all of his posts have been here and I, for one, am glad there is someone looking out for our interests here and I will sleep well tonight secure in the knowledge that Rillinois will save me from myself.
I am very disappointed in don lane. He had to bring up those MSFT, VOD and UNPH picks. I was waiting for Rillinois to get around to them because he said he was going to look at the good and the so-called bad. Why just because Rillinois is said to have never praised Brinker on the AOL Bob Brinker board or anywhere else regarding any of these picks (he may have reluctantly paid lip service to Microsoft) and just because Rillinois probably never visited any UNPH, MSFT or VOD board on the internet universe regarding these choices with words of praise, I have faith that he will get around to it eventually and write long and loving posts to Bob. He has just been so busy helping the misinformed and it is better for those poor souls to get what he thinks is the bad news out first. I am certain he will visit every board and thread he has visited thus far on the internet with praise for Brinker's successful stock picks and his sage market analysis with equal enthusiasm. I know he is interested in balance. Why just look at how he opens every on of his arguments with a word of praise to Brinker before calling him a "flat out" "liar" and "spin doctor." Let me be the first to say that I don't care what anybody says: Rillinois' words of praise for Brinker are genuine.
I am sorry if I rambled on and spent so much time on this issue, but I wanted to make sure everyone on this thread fully appreciated all of the time and effort Rillinois has put into his mission -- his obsession -- without any underlying motive other than to serve the public good. He is just too humble a guy to let you know of his heroic deeds. Some have said that Rillinois sounds "bitter" when the subject turns to Brinker and is out to "discredit" Brinker. But, I ask you, are these the actions of a man on a search and destroy mission?
