Thomas, I have not even had time to read all the messages posted to me in the last twenty-four hours, let alone respond to them. I am answering this one but then will be going out to enjoy the beautiful sunny day here. I would briefly comment that I started this discussion because of several posts here about the 60 Minutes segment on homosexual teenagers committing suicide at a higher rate than others, and also being rejected by their parents and being kicked out of their homes. There seemed to be some interest in the subject, and I was personally curious why even basic human rights for homosexuals are so controversial in America, since they are not in San Francisco, where I live. I think it is important if you are going to have a discussion, to open it up to all points of view. Certainly, the web page from the gay person who stated that the Bible never said Christ was not a homosexual is just as reasonable to discuss as the views of conservative Christians on this issue, and those of people who believe homosexuality is a disability, or at least a condition which is involuntary, rather than a sin.
