Microsoft wakes up to Java Software firm unveils new Javatools which could further challenge Sun
"Clearly, the direction of Java is being driven by Microsoft," said software analyst Rick Sherlund of Goldman Sachs. Microsoft, explained Sherlund, already creates many of the applications used by developers and, by extension, leaves its imprint on many languages. "To Microsoft, Java is just another language, like C++," he added.
