John,

I have never had a problem... as in an earlier post, just make sure you use GTC.
For, if you use a DAY order and
only a portion of your initial shares execute and
the trading day ends then you have to reenter an order for the remaining shares.
But with a GTC the remaining shares are still in an open order status. Hopefully the GTC order doesn't expire before the remaining shares are traded.
