Kid,
I have learned to stay away from the chip stocks, they are way to
volatile with so much competition from new products, and many
direct competitors. What looks good initially can be quickly outdated
or strategically out maneuvered due to circumstances and market
influences, IMO. It is a hard call, Micron has diversified its'
product lines and may shift gears into other more profitable,
non-memory products. If this happens then they could go up 20-30%.
The odds are probably the same as flipping a coin. However, all chip
companies must purchase equipment and there aren't a lot of semi-mfg's
to choose from, which insures future sales for the mfg's at some
point.
