Adam,

I'm looking for solid but not spectacular progress on the revenue and earnings front for the quarter ended 2/28. Verity will announce earnings on 3/17 after the market closes. Agree that mgmt getting ship under control.

Noted Lotus lawsuit filed today, which I view as a positive step. Lotus was Verity's first OEM, starting in 1992. The Verity search engine has been embedded in Lotus Notes ever since. Within the past year, Verity has also entered into a licensing deal for their Keyview technology with Lotus.

My view is that Verity has staked out very well the big corporate market for search platforms. Even though Verity has not directly exploited the embedded search engine in Notes with add-on products, the corporate penetration of Lotus Notes has been VERY complimentary for Verity's marketing efforts and has paved the way to many profitable deals for Verity. It would be very painful at this late date for Lotus to switch embedded engines, so my view is that Verity standing up to Lotus is a good thing, and might result in increased revenues.

Market reacting well so far.
