In response to your inquiry above please be advised of the
following:
HCFA is an acronym for Health Care Financing Administration, the Fed-
eral body that administers Medicare reimbursement. The company has
an ongoing dialogue with HCFA and anticipates filing a submission when the Company i s confident that it can fulfil HCFA's requirements and, more importantly, secure an appropriate level of reimbursement for EECP* therapy. As this is certainly a major goal of this company, I am not at liberty to discuss details or timing.
However, at present, over 40 third-party payors reimburse for EECP* therapy. (Bear in mind that over 50% of cardiac patients (especially those that undergo an initial bypass or angioplasty) are below the Medicare age of 65.)
