just got off the phone to fred jensen d.v.m. clinical phase II combo therapy is to be completed in september this year and in spain in january. the fda does not need the trials in spain for approval.

he said when they first started testing this drug, because i asked him about using it to immunize healthy people, they were able to protect chimps from secondary infection with human brain and lymphatic tissue from infected individuals with suspected aids disease back in the 70's before the virus was even isolated. they gave remune to one chimp and then gave the brain tissue to one and the lymphatic tissue to another and both to the vaccinated one. the protected chimp remained healthy.

although chimps do not get the viral aids disease the secondary infections could be produced. my understanding is that humans first contracted this disease from sexual contact with apes.

he said they can not do this on humans for insurance reasons.

i had no idea that this drug has been around this long and either way its approval here first will still have world wide implications and i am surprised that u.k. is just getting started on this now. they have many more approvals on different medications and much sooner than we do here.

this year will be a boomer. good luck
