EXCELLENT WOLVERINE ASSAY RESULTS FOR LYNX ZONE
VANCOUVER, Oct. 18 /CNW/ - Westmin Resources Limited and Atna Resources
Ltd. report excellent assay results for six additional holes completed at
Wolverine. The 1996 drilling program is complete and assays for the final
hole, #70 which intersected 13.2 m (true thickness) of massive sulphides, are
expected next week. Current results are tabulated below:

The 1996 drilling program has significantly expanded the area of
mineralization at Wolverine and brought the number of massive sulphide
intersections from 15 in 1995 to 49 to the end of the 1996 program. The new
Lynx Lens, which was discovered late in the season, is open to the west, north
and south.
A new resource calculation for the Wolverine Deposit, including the Lynx
Zone, will be completed by mid November. Plans for the 1997 program will be
announced once they have been developed.
A drill hole location map showing isopachs (or true thickness contours)
of the mineralized interval is available upon request.
