I have learned to stay away from the chip stocks, they are way to volatile with so much competition from new products I agree with you, except AMAT is the exception. The mother, top dog, the big Kahuna of semi-equipment. I don't buy any chip stocks, except AMAT. Too much competition in a cyclical industry.
