Philip...If your'e looking for a possible killer buy, I think it will be
the new spin off from Loral (LOR). As you probably know, Lockheed (LMT)
plans to buy out Loral for 9.1 B. The tender offer should expire near
the end of March, but it is being delayed by the FTC. When the offer
does take place, Loral will spin off a new holding called Loral Space
and Comm. It will be made up of 32% GlobalStar, 30% Loral Space, 28%
of K&F Industries (a brake mfg co.) and the rest in Latin/Euro air
franchises. Plus...it will have no debt, 714M in cash, and at least
120M annual revenue from the Loral Space and K&F Industries. Lockheed
will own 20% of Loral Space at the outset. Bernie Schwartz, the current
genius behind Loral Aerospace, will become the Vice-chairman of Lockheed,
and the CEO of Loral Space. I'm in for the long term, but I believe
it should take off like a rocket at the start, with possible buyout interests
from AT&T. Motorola is the only competition in global satellites with
their Iridium project. Anyway...I'm in. Don
