Hello everyone, new to the thread. I do not feel that this type of comparison is justified. If you were to add Cisco, 3Com, and probably Cabletron and then multiply the whole bunch by 2 then you would have something about the size of Lucent. Remember also that being a networking startup (Cisco in the early days) has no resemblance whatsoever to working for a company the size of Lucent. I was with a networking startup that was purchased by Lucent not that long ago. Regards, G
