Aaron,

This is completely doable. In fact, Sun has produced a UNIX OS which can run PC (Intel arch.) software. I helped write an emulator for the CP/M OS on a VAX some years back. The basic technology has been available for years. Look at cross platform compilers. While they run on one computer, they create a binary for a different computer. Anyone shold be able to see that writing an OS that emulates another hardware platform should be fairly easy.

The problems to date have been that the method used is a software emulator for the hardware. To date, these emulators have been slower than the hardware counter parts.

If MFST can get around the apparently inherent slowness, then INTC would have something to really worry about.

Regards,
