RT, There may be several real reasons for the decrease in demand. Dosing the patient is very important and initially the patient needs some instruction in the use of the pellet and inserter. Our satisfaction rate is much higher in those patients we have instructed in the office than those who just watch the video ( at home) and try it. The effect of Viagra and the incredible PR they have received is taking a toll of some patients who want to wait for the pill. Interestingly I think (IMO) that many of these patients will be failures with Viagra as they seem not to be well motivated but looking for the no-effort solution. Our experience is not a real shortage at this time but the availability seems to be localized to a few Pharmacies that are willing to break up the six packs for our patients. I'm sure that in smaller communities the shortage is probably very real. Ed
