[...] "ad hominem" attacks [...] This technique is as timeless as the art of debate, eristical or otherwise, and, in special cases, might be construed as not altogether unjustified or illegitimate. In "special cases", huh? Don't you think that every "ad hominem" attack is a "special case", as far as the attacker is concerned?! To say that such attacks are "not altogether unjustified" in "special cases" is just ridiculous. Dipy.
